1001 Ways My Partner Says I Love You

| Jul. 18th, 2007 10:11 am Example #8 - late night showers Ok, I know I haven't posted in awhile. The garden is growing and I'm very busy canning. Anywho, my partner found himself immersed in alot of poison ivy at a party. He stayed at the party till after midnight. Tired and wore out (we don't stay up late), he came home, undressed in the utility room, put his clothes immediately in the washer, and jumped in the shower before he got into bed as to not give me the poison ivy. Unfortuantely, didn't work (I'm that sensitive to the stuff), but I appreciate the effort. :) Current Mood: itchy

| Jun. 30th, 2007 05:11 pm Example #7 - favorite wildflowers So, he mowed the lawn the other day...all except for a 2 inch by 2 inch area which happened to contain one of my favorite wildflowers. Didn't tell me he did it; just left it in the lawn for me to stumble across.
Here is the image of the actual flower:

For a better picture of the type of flower, it's what I use as my default userpic. :) Current Mood: satisfied

| Jun. 28th, 2007 09:44 am Example 6 - Making sure I see the native flowers in bloom him: I also meant to mention a few things to you. First, the native rhododendron is blooming along the trail.
me: Ooh. I wish you were here this weekend. We could take a walk and look at it. me: I wonder if I can propagate it by seed. him: We could easily drive up to the right section and go for a quick walk this evening. Are you doing anything?
heh, yeah. I know what I'm doing tonight!!! Current Mood: bouncy

| Jun. 25th, 2007 08:07 am Example 5 - Health issues The deck needed to be stained. It was way overdue. We cleaned the deck together. When we were about ready to start staining it, my partner told me that he was going to do the staining by himself. I'm asthmatic and he was worried that the fumes might set off an attack.
So, he stained the deck himself...and then it rained. sigh. I'm irritated with Mother Nature right now, despite the fact that we are desperate for rain. Current Mood: irritated

| Jun. 20th, 2007 11:15 am Example 4 - Simple kisses Last night I was at my friends house socializing. I didn't get home that late, but still got home after my partner went to bed. I did my evening routine and then got into bed. He immediately rolled over, put his arm over me, gathered me to him, and sleepily kissed me on the shoulder.
I fell asleep with a smile. Current Mood: refreshed

| Jun. 18th, 2007 08:49 pm Example 3 - Holding my hand My partner's two daughters, friends, boyfriends, and x-wife came over for dinner last night. It was a wonderful, if not exhausting time. We had homemade spaghetti, salad from the garden, vino (or beer), and homemade raspberry (from our garden) ice cream for dessert. We were very tired after it all. So, my partner and I decided to veg on the couch and relax for a bit. When I sat down next to him, he grabbed my hand and just held it while we watched TV together. Talk about an energy recharge! Current Mood: tired

| Jun. 16th, 2007 10:18 pm Example 1 - letting me sleep late So, last night I was out way too late at a party. Didn't get drunk or anything, just out too late. Normally, my partner and I get up on the weekends and go out to have breakfast. This is something we've done every weekend for the past 10 or so years. However, this morning, he knew I'd want to sleep in.
So, he told me 'I love you' by getting out of bed, getting dressed to leave, then pulling the covers over my shoulder to keep me warm, kissing me on the head and saying, "Sleep in. I'll see you later."
And sleep in I did. Current Mood: grateful

| Jun. 15th, 2007 11:16 am The beginning This journal is a way for me to honor the many ways my partner tells me he loves me every day. We've been together for over 10 years now, and our love continues to grow and amaze me each and every day. I am grateful that he chooses to share his life with me. Every post in this journal is one specific, though not necessarily profound, thing he's done that particular day to show his love for me. I hope anyone that reads this gets some joy out of it. Current Mood: calm
